History- 2004-2006
On Rick's first visit to Uganda, he saw the need for ministry to the missionaries.  They are so serious about their
calling and the vast need for their services that they sometimes put their own spiritual needs aside.  On Sunday,
Rick preached to a group of International Missionaries on  "First Things First".  The message the Lord laid on
his heart was the need to place loving God
FIRST, even above loving your neighbor. Often we put our service
to God before our love for Him.  It's never intentional, but the pace of the work can steal our first love before we
know it is happening.
The director of the field had already seen the need for a pastor to the missionaries and he approached Rick
about the possibility of becoming an international pastor to the Ugandan missionary field.  This confirmed what
the Lord had already spoken to Rick earlier in the year , therefor he agreed to serve as International Pastor.  He
and Janie have served in this position for the last s
ix years.

We have had a very busy and exciting year.  In 2007 we made three trips to Africa, have moved to Amarillo, Texas to
serve part time as interim pastor for a church while we weren't traveling, and in July we moved to Grandview,
Missouri.  We felt God leading us to Missouri over a year before that and had it confirmed several times.  When we are
in the United States we  host pastors and their families in our home.  We pray for them, listen to them, take them to the
International House of Prayer (in Kansas City) and watch how God refreshes and encourages them.
